How do I change my membership?

As a part of The Hub Singapore community, you can access Hubportal, our membership portal and easily change your membership status to whichever suits your current needs best. Find out more about the different types of memberships, the benefits that come with and perks you gain here.

How do I access the space?

All coworking members are given a card to access the space between 6:30 am until 11:00 pm, daily.  Connect members and visitors are asked to check in at the Host desk.

Are meeting rooms included in the membership?

The meeting room perk is only included in The Hub co-work membership - you will have the privilege of using meeting rooms for 2 hours per day. Connect and Day Pass memberships have access to meeting rooms based on availability. You are welcome to bring guests/non-members to meetings, however they must check in at the Host desk. To book a meeting space, login to the membership portal.

Can I buy extra hours in case I have reached my maximum number of hours?

Yes, you can purchase 8 hour top-ups as additional products from the membership portal.

What are the opening hours of the space?

The Hub is open from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm, 7 days a week.

Can I invite clients into the space for meetings?

If you are a Hub Singapore cowork member (work lite/second home/resident/native), of course. You can also book a meeting room so you can have your meeting in a quiet and conducive environment.

Can I come to the cafe and work from The Hub?

Come by and grab a brilliant cup of artisanal coffee from our Cafe, the Blue Collar Collective, to kick-start or keep your day going. If you want to stay more than 2 hours, we can purchase a day pass (8 hours) to access to our Wi-Fi and space.

What is your internet like?

It's the best. In July 2015, we contracted CIS to design a very robust and resilient Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Our network includes dual internet providers (Singtel and StarHub) operating on an n+1 redundancy including dual MikroTik Routers and switches. The network is backed up by a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to ensure consistent uptime. The wireless access points are a mix between dual band 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz devices delivering to every corner of our new space.

We also ensure that no single devices or teams can monopolize access and implement full service monitoring and capacity management. All our team rooms, meeting rooms and "Skype" booths are also equipped with dual data points for 'wired' access if needed.

Where can I have my Skype calls?

We have Skype booths for you to conduct your Skype calls in private. You can also have you Skype call, phone calls and meeting in the cafe area, at the front of the space.

Are there any quiet areas for working?

Yes. We have both a vibrant area - with coffee and music and more quiet coworking areas where no music is played. Private meeting rooms are also available when you need to meet clients or be alone for an hour or two. The permanent desk area is also a quiet area.

We offer team rooms if you would like to enjoy the community and the events and also your own privacy.

Can I store my belongings at The Hub?

Members practice "hot-desking", which is simply bringing in whatever you’re working on for the day and taking everything with you when you leave. This allows coworkers to be light and free and really focus on their work at hand.

Storage is available for local members and teams. Members must ensure their personal belongings are kept in their designated storage unit and not left in communal areas of The Hub when not in use. Please come to the host desk if you have any specific questions.

Can I have my mail sent to The Hub?

A Hub Singapore mailing address is included in Second Home and Resident memberships. For other Hub memberships, a Hub mailing address is available. Please email hub@thehub.sg to learn more.

Can I have a fixed phone number at The Hub?

In the era of cloud-based solutions, we have opted for an alternative solution and you can get your local phone number with a cloud based phone service! New Hubbers get a 3 month free subscription for Hoiio Direct Line & Virtual Line Apps and a 1 month free subscription on the other communication applications. Check out their services here.

What’s special about the space and the furniture?

The entire environment has been designed to foster collaboration and creativity and at the same time feels comfortable even for long hours of work. For instance, we use Zody chairs, which has unsurpassed comfortability as demonstrated here.

COMMUNITY

How do you help members connect with each other?

As a member you have access to Hubportal, our membership portal with the profiles and expertise of all our members. Members use it to find who they would like to talk to as well as work with. We also have:

  • Dedicated members exclusive community and networking events
  • Dedicated resources - a community manager and a host team - to help you connect with who you need
  • Serendipity can be found anywhere, especially in places you least expect, so if you haven’t already, come grab a beer with us every Friday at 5:00 pm to connect with fellow minds for our Hub Happy Hour, with free flow of beers sponsored by Braintree

How do you communicate with your members?

We communicate with our members everyday in person as well as online through our membership portal and our public and members-only Facebook groups. Through members-only channels, members can ask for support to each other as well to The Hub team.

Members receive an events newsletter once a month and a community newsletter once a month to give them an overview of what they can leverage during the coming month.

How do your chose your community events?

We detect trends online as well as through our daily connections with members. Our members are the best to tell us so we organise a monthly vote for them to tell us for what events they want to see. This is why we have always spot on activities for the community!

BUSINESS GROWTH

What perks do members have?

Please check the business and community perks on this page.

Do you have partnerships with other coworking communities in the region?

What if there was a global community that can support you when you travel for business? A movement of locally rooted communities and spaces collaborating across cities, cultures and industries? This movement exists and you are part of it. It is the Impact Hub and, from 2005 with one 200 sqm Hub in central London, to 75+ Impact Hubs with a total of 57,902 sqm in 2015, it has grown to 36 countries connecting 11,000 Hubbers. The Hub Singapore was the first in Asia and has been helping grow the Hub network in the region.

We have created a passportto help our members tap into our international network, stay connected when traveling and reduce their logistics-related stress! They can meet clients, business partners in a professional environment and like-minded community.

Can a non-Hub member book the space for events?

We are the event space for out-of-the-box entrepreneurs, creatives, techies and impact related events. We welcome bookings from our members, the public, corporate clients and individuals. Hub members enjoy the privilege of discounted booking rates.

Do you run networking events?

All of the time! Check out our events page to see what is happening this month. We organize member exclusive networking events like Meet the Angels, Speed Dating, Out for Lunch, etc, and events in partnership with other networks like Drink Entrepreneurs, BNI’s network meetings, etc. These events are great opportunities to meet members, strengthen your relationship with the community, and develop opportunities for your venture.

Which events can help me increase my professional skills?

Marketing Clinic, Legal clinic, one-on-one consultancy “In the Hot Seat”, and flagship events that we house are great options to attend and sharpen your skill set. Always check our events page to see what unique event is happening that month.

Which events can help me get inspired?

Future Talks and Founder’s Flock are interview series that allows you to get inspired by and pick the minds of successful founders in Singapore.
